Ron Gunn, Managing Director

Mr. Gunn is a management consultant and trainer who specializes in strategic management issues related to planning and organizational performance, cross-functional team development and functioning, and acquiring and satisfying customers. A management consultant for the past twenty years, Ron Gunn has assisted clients with matrix management implementation and issues for the past dozen years. He is a frequent trainer, speaker, and consultant who continues to research and develop articles and products to help enterprises tap the power and promise of the matrix form of organization.

In 1999, Ron Gunn assisted a global pharmaceutical company with the implementation of its matrix organization among 600 employees. His customized Matrix Immersion Training program is one day in length and has been delivered several times, including at a major mid-Atlantic utilities corporation where training was coupled with his conduct of a matrix organizational analysis to assist broader matrix implementation. A $1 Billion per annum software company engaged Mr. Gunn to speak on matrix management and organizational planning at its Board of Directors meeting in February, 2000. In 2000, a major Info Tech company, a manufacturing company, and a defense-related public agency have received matrix management assistance.

He consulted to a NASDAQ-traded biotech company on matters of strategic planning, team development, and matrix organization. Earlier in the 1990s, he consulted to a German-based pharmaceutical company, clarifying matrix roles and work processes in R&D, and enhancing the effectiveness of the matrix manager. He has implemented use of a matrix approach to increase foundation and government revenue for a mid-sized association. In 1997, he conducted an organizational study which led him to recommend that a government executive refrain from adopting a matrix approach.
